snow!! I'm sure the rest of the state got just as much snow as we did this weekend, but good god i love when it snows. i woke up at around 9 yesterday and it was already snowing, and it was still snowing when i went to bed around 2. winter hadn't really hit me until yesterday. we got snow earlier in November and October but none of it stayed around long. We got some a little before Thanksgiving break too and that stayed around, but it still didn't feel like winter, because i was still riding my bike around. but now i think we got around a foot of snow, which is much more than glorious because now i can go snowboarding. good god thank you for snowboarding. i didn't get out to buena vista (probably the worst hill in the tri-state area) this weekend, but i suppose boarding is boarding, and i should be greatful i don't live with the cake eaters down in Iowa who have no idea what snowboarding is. i'm sure there are a number of good skiers down there tho...goddam cake eaters. i didn't do much last year which i terribly regret, but i did get out a few times. hopefully over spring break this year we'll make it up to Montreal and shred with some french canadians. eh?! the name of the mountain we're planning on going to is something like 'mont che blon' of some thing. i don't have the slightest idea how to spell it, but i'm sure you can use your phonics and sound it out.
anyway, another Matt Brown/Pete production was filmed today and should be making an appearence on youtube in the coming weeks. its about a prank call that went bad. pretty funny though.
finally, i'd like to touch on 'the roots' guitarist kirk douglass. he's one bad mother let me tell you. 'the roots' opened for DMB this summer at alpine valley, and Kirk Douglass played a few with them. on 'jimi thing' he played possibly the raddest guitar solo my ears have ever heard...ever. i think you might be able to find it on the internet but it probably would require some searching, but i promise you you won't be dissapointed. check out some 'the roots' songs too, pretty damn good i swear.
