For a week or so now i've kind of been obsessing about new music. I've been trying desperatly to find new bands that simply rock. Mandy has been giving a lot of suggestions. She's been trying to get me to like Arcade Fire, but i just can't get myself to like them. the music is good but i'm not a fan of the singing. a few other bands she's suggested: Silver Sun, Bravery, Young Galexy, Hot Hot Heat, City and Color, and The Stars.
I've been on a ton of websites just clicking from link to link to try and find new bands i haven't heard of, but the search so far isn't going very well. I've found a few prospects like, Uncle Tupelo and Son Volta, the Yeah Yeah Yeah's (even though i've heard of them before i haven't really listened to their stuff. check out 'Maps'...bitchin song.) i'm kind of looking for underground stuff...kickin' bands that aren't overplayed on the radio. bands that are only heard of through word of mouth...you get my drift.
Anyway, i guess what i'm saying is...you should let me know of any of these kinds of bands you know of. then i will listen to them. so if you know of any, holler at me.

I can't get enough of the hush sound right now. Ted Leo and the Pharmacists are pretty good too.

and a great site to help you search for music is www.last.fm it picks up the music you listen through in itunes and recommends you new stuff and what not.

dude you need to check out RADIORADIO!!! im not even kidding you will love them. i think their best song is "watch em all come runnin'" but curt likes the game and marathon is a good tune as well. but im not even kidding you need to check em oot. i also kinda dig the arctic monkeys right now too
